Our Beliefs

Plan of Salvation

We are a Bible-based church, meaning that we seek to base all of our beliefs and our lifestyle on explicit passages of the Bible and on Biblical principles. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (II Timothy 3:15-17).

The basic and fundamental doctrine of our church is the Bible standard of full salvation which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the  infilling of the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:38).

The Oneness of God

There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, I Timothy 3:16).

About Us: About

Our History

The First United Pentecostal Church of Rockwood was founded in the year 1938 when a small group of people gathered together for prayer meetings. Over the past eight decades, the church has been lead by wonderful pastors and the Lord has blessed the church with many souls being saved by the preaching of the Apostolic Truth and the wonderful power of God.

In October of 2014, Rev. Joe David and Vickie Sizemore were elected as the new leadership. Through their dedication and anointed teaching and preaching, the church anticipates continued growth and greater blessings.
